Join San Diego Archers for the Iron Turkey 3D Challenge, featuring a full 3D course and several specialty shots, including the Iron Turkey.
Shoot Details
- 34 3D targets
- 1 arrow per target
- Maximum score: 355
- Rangefinders allowed
- Specialty shots include the Iron Turkey, Blind Shot, Jakes, and Distant Gobbler
Iron Turkey Scoring
The Iron Turkey features two scoring dots:
- Large dot: 20 points
- Small dot: 25 points
An alternate target with standard 3D scoring will also be available for archers who prefer not to shoot the Iron Turkey.
Honor Our Military
Active-duty and retired U.S. military shoot FREE with military ID.
Schedule
Check-in: 7:45–8:30 AM
Range briefing: After 8:30 AM
Shooting begins: 9:00 AM
Please check in at the visitors’ table, complete your waiver, and pick up your scorecard before entering the practice area.
Traditional & Youth Stakes
Traditional and youth stakes will be available on longer targets.
- Youth (ages 12–14): Maximum distance 40 yards
- Cubs (11 and under): Maximum distance 25 yards
- Traditional: Maximum distance 40 yards
Registration
- Children 14 and under: FREE
- SDA Members: $10
- Non-Members: $15
- Active-Duty & Retired Military: FREE with ID
Optional Mulligans and Doe Tags are available.
Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed beginning at 6:15 AM to help set up targets. Help is also needed after the shoot to take down and store targets.
Concessions
Water is available at the visitors’ table. Sodas and snacks are available for $1.
