New 3D Format Feedback

Tell us what you think about the new changes to our Unmarked 3D Shoots!!

We tried two new things in this 3D Round: 1) Allowing a “Range Finder-Guest” category in our Unmarked, No Range Finders Allowed 3D shoots. This is in response to comments from MANY archers who don’t shoot these incredibly fun tournaments, because they shoot very expensive arrows and don’t want to destroy an arrow if they misjudge the distance. Now, anyone is welcome to use a Range Finder to come out and enjoy the fun, but these scores will not be eligible for shoot awards or year-end Club Championship awards. (Note: Range Finder scores are posted after the usual No Range Finder scores on the results page). 2) We’ve added an orange “Trad Cone” to our 3D Rounds for all Recurve & Longbow archers. Now, the maximum distance for Trad archers is the same as the Youth division, no more than 40 yards! What do you think of these changes?? If you have any suggestions or comments on how to handle these changes better, please let us know! Send an email to:  info@sandiegoarchers.com or comment on our Facebook page HERE. Jim W. has posted a poll question there about the changes. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

Unmarked 3D Results – 31 March 2018

THANK YOU! to everyone who participated in the San Diego Archers April 3D (on March 31st!), Farewell Tribute & Fundraiser for our very own and very dear Sir Gordon Vail. The San Diego Archers and the entire archery community here are some of the kindest and most generous people I’ve ever met. A couple more donations are still coming in, but we expect the total funds collected at the shoot to be approximately $2000! The San Diego Archers will match this 100% and give Sir Gordon a check for ~$4000!!! Thank you again, Everyone. This will help Sir Gordon in so many ways towards moving expenses and bills before he leaves us and moves to Washington State. It is the very least we can do for a man who has given so much to the archery community in San Diego for soooooo many years. Thank YOU, Gordon!!!

It was great to see our friends from the Pasadena Roving Archers & Santiago Park Archers. We hope to see you at more shoots this year!

Another great set up of targets by our amazing volunteers! How’d everyone like the clever fish (carp) set up near Target 2??? Never seen that before. Thank you to all the volunteers!

Now, on to the scores!!!
Apologies to everyone who stayed for the awards after the shoot, there were a few mistakes while entering the scores (this happens when the scorekeeper gets distracted….). Scores have been validated & corrected where necessary.
