Join San Diego Archers for the King Arthur Shoot, featuring a mix of paper and 3D targets, including two steel target challenges: the Iron Knight and Dragon.

Shoot Details

  • 40 targets
  • 2 arrows per target,  11-10-8 scoring.
  • A mixture of paper and 3D targets
  • Steel targets include the Iron Knight and Dragon

Steel Target Scoring

The Iron Knight and Dragon are worth 20 points per arrow.

An alternative target will be available for archers who prefer not to shoot the steel targets. The alternative target earns standard scoring points only.

New Fall Date

The King Arthur Shoot has moved later in the year to avoid the summer heat and accommodate the newly added San Diego Open in June.

Schedule

Check-in: 7:45–8:30 AM
Range briefing: After 8:30 AM
Shooting begins: 9:00 AM

Please check in at the visitors’ table, complete your waiver, and pick up your scorecard before entering the practice area.

Traditional & Youth Stakes

Traditional and youth stakes will be available on longer targets.

  • Youth (ages 12–14): Maximum distance 40 yards
  • Cubs (11 and under): Maximum distance 25 yards
  • Traditional: Maximum distance 40 yards

Registration

Category SDA Members Non-Members
Family: 2 adults plus children 17 and under $35 $40
Adult: 18 and over $25 $30
Young Adult: ages 15–17 $20 $25

Children 14 and under: FREE when accompanied by an adult.

Optional Mulligans are available.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed beginning at 6:15 AM to help set up targets. Help is also needed after the shoot to take down and store targets.
