3D Round Turkey

Scoring: 10-8-5
Maximum Score: 280

Mulligans and Doe Tags:

If you missed or scored low with the first arrow, a mulligan allows you to take another shot at a target. If you use a mulligan, your score is determined by that second arrow, even if you score worse than the first arrow.

You may use a second mulligan on the same target. Your score is determined by the last arrow shot.

There will be 1 or 2 buck-doe spreads in the field, where the doe placed between the buck and the archer. If you hit the doe and do not have a doe tag, you score -5 on the target. If you have a doe tag, you score zero. You cannot use a mulligan if you hit the doe, whether or not you have a doe tag.

If you hit the buck or miss completely, you may use a mulligan and your score is determined from that second arrow.

For Young Adults (14-17 yo): The longest distance is 50 yards.
For Youths (12-14 yo): The longest distance is 40 yards.
For Cubs & PeeWee (11 yo & under): The longest distance is 25 yards.

The San Diego Archery club is a very active club, sponsoring two shoots a month and three major tournaments a year. A 28 target 3D Round on the first Sunday of the month and a Club Championship Qualifying Round (28 target Animal, Field or Hunter Round) on the third Sunday of each month.

Each June SDA hosts the “King Arthur’s Day Tournament”, a 40 target novelty shoot with a medieval theme.

Would you like to attend SDA tournaments for free?
SDA holds a work party at our ranges each month. Contact us to see whether there are work party positions available before the next tournament and attend your next SDA shoot for free!

Sunday, June 11, SDA Volunteer Work Party Help Needed

Please join us this Sunday, June 11, for one final work party before the 50th Annual King Arthur Tournament (next weekend!!)

We will be clearing the areas around the extra 12 King Arthur Targets and making a few more bales and replacing bales. Bale making will start at 7am, clean up work will start at 8am.

Show up anytime between 7am and noon! Bring gloves, water and a hat, if you have them. We have some rakes and shovels, but if you have a weed whacker or rake, bring them along, too. Stay as long as you want- we plan to work until around noon.

We’ll have COFFEE, BAGELS, and DONUTS for all volunteers! Please RSVP by e-mailing sandiegoarchers@yahoo.com, so we can be sure to have enough snacks for everyone.

Thank you for your help!!

The San Diego Archers truly appreciate your help.

Both archery ranges in Balboa Park are maintained by volunteer efforts alone. If each member (non-members welcome, too!) contributed just one hour of volunteer work on either range, we would have two of the nicest looking ranges in California.

Anyone who volunteers at a work party shoots for free in their next tournament! Coffee and bagels will be available for volunteers.
